Dr Kei Saito is currently a Lecturer at the School of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science at Monash University. His research interests are in developing new synthesis and production methods for novel sustainable/environment benign polymeric materials. At BAMI, Kei is Chief Investigator on Project 10: Chemicals from lignin. The project has two parts: the catalytic reactions of lignin into fine chemicals and the biocatalytic reaction of lignin into monomers and polymerisation into thermoplastics.
